1st Annual Green and White Summer Invitational
was held on Saturday July 21, 2007. Wodenschiere would like
to thank Stephanie Hemdal, Krista Laman and the rest of
the swim team parents, friends and volunteers that made
this such a great event.

Invitational's information
will be posted in the breezeway. Typically held on weekends
with advance sign up and extra charges. Please see Matt
and or Heather.
Wilshire Relays, this invitational
is a team meet and will be held on Wednesday and Thursday
nights July 25th and 26th. Everyone attends and swims in
at least one relay. More details will follow.

Counties will be held at
Green Valley, Saturday and Sunday August 4th and 5th. If
you qualify for counties your name and event will be posted
in the breezeway. The list will be updated throughout the
season.

11 - 12 years, 9:00 am - 10:15 am

8 and under, 5:00 pm - 5:30 pm
9 - 12 years, 5:30 pm - 6:30 pm
13 years and up, 5:30 pm - 7:00 pm

OUR SWIM TEAM... is an important part of the Wodenschiere
organization!

As per BCSA, Swimmers are divided
into the following age groups:
8 & Under
9&10
11 &12
13 &14
Open (15 & above)
The event sequence will be:
Medley relay (four swimmers – one for each stroke)
Butterfly
Freestyle
Backstroke
Breast stroke
Freestyle Relay (four swimmers each one doing freestyle)
The competing team with the most points calculated
at the end of the meet is the meet winner. Each competing
team is allowed to enter one relay team per age group and
three swimmers per individual event per age group in competition.
Coach Matt and Coach Heather determine what events the swimmers
enter based on their strengths.
As always the Swim Team Boosters and Coaches
are looking for volunteers to help coordinate, time and
score among other things. The kids appreciate the effort
as well as the coaches.
